Our staff

We take enormous pride in our team of Early Childhood Educators, whose dedication to the children is, we believe, exceptional. We are fortunate to offer the expertise and stability of many long-term staff members (up to 20 years!) amongst our dynamic overall team. Ongoing professional learning is prioritised for our Educators, resulting in the highest quality early education and care for all.

Warrandyte Childcare and Preschool Centre employs a team of qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educators. We prioritise the ongoing professional learning of educators to ensure their own skills, knowledge and teaching methods are continually evolving, resulting in the highest quality early education and care for all.

Our Director manages the day-to-day operations of the Centre. Each room employs an educator with a minimum qualification of Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 4) and an educator with a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3).

Our registered Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Program is run by a qualified teacher with a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education. We employ an Educational Leader two days per week.

Committee of Management

Warrandyte Childcare and Preschool Centre is managed by a voluntary group of parents who are elected annually to form the Committee of Management. The Committee works in conjunction with The Centre Director and employees to ensure that the Centre meets all its obligations to children, families, staff and various government departments.

Parents are encouraged to be involved with the Committee of Management and meetings are held monthly. Parents can be involved in social events and fundraising, maintenance, policies and quality improvement. Becoming a committee or sub-committee member provides families with an opportunity to have an active role in the Centre.

We value parents’ contributions and there are many ways that parents can become involved in the social and organisational aspects of our Centre. It is especially wonderful to note the many friendships, between children and families, which have endured long after children have left the Centre.
